Residents on Three Islands are Negative COVID-19

Residents in Tidung Island, Harapan Island, and Kelapa Island are confirmed negative of COVID-19. This information was announced by Thousand Islands Task Force Team for Acceleration of Handling COVID-19 who carried out rapid test and swab test.

"We have carried out the test in Tidung Island, Harapan Island, and Kelapa Island. Alhamdulilah all residents are negative," stated Husein Murad, Leader of Thousand Islands Task Force Team, Monday (5/18).

He hopes Thousand Islands can remain its safe zone status after some time ago 10 Tidung Island and Kelapa Island residents were positive of COVID-19. Thus he instructed all residents to obey PSBB regulations.

Rapid Test Held for Tens Kayu Manis Urban Village Residents

"From total 10 positive patients, 7 residents have returned to their families while other 3 residents are being treated at Wisma Atlet. Their condition is getting better while waiting for their recovery," he explained.

Meanwhile, 18 Tidung Island joint fishermen who undergone swab test last week, today have received COVID-19 negative result from Jakarta Regional Health Laboratory (Labkesda).

Tidung Island Urban Village Head, Hafsah said, after testing those 18 fishermen, his side also held swab test for tens fishermen from other joint ventures who just came on the same day.

"18 fishermen's test results are negative. We will hold similar test to tens fishermen who just arrive today," he mentioned.
