DPRD Vice Chairman Supports Virtual Eid Gathering

Jakarta Governor's advice to use technology for silaturahmi (amicable gathering) in commemorating Eid al-Fitr 1441 Hijr was viewed positively by Jakarta DPRD Vice Chairperson, Abdurahman Suhaimi.

According to him, virtual gathering is very effective to stop COVID-19 transmission if it is carried out by all people in Jakarta.

"We support this advice because it can minimize physical contact during the COVID-19 pandemic. It can be effective if we only use the technology for silaturahmi with our family members and colleagues," he asserted, Sunday (5/24).

Building relationship during Eid al-Fitr during the pandemic, he said, still can be done even though from a long distance.

"Let us perform virtual Eid gathering, because apology which delivered from our heart is the most important thing instead of shaking hands. Relation will remain harmonious even though it is done from a long distance," he asserted.
