Satpol PP Continues to Tighten PSBB Sweeping During Eid

Jakarta Satpol PP Head Arifin revealed his side continues to tighten PSBB sweeping during Eid al-Fitr celebration, especially in the public cemetery (TPU), which is often crowded by people for pilgrimage.

Our purpose is to provide protection to Jakarta people with the hope of faster completion and stop the chain of the COVID-19 spread

"We urge them not to gather and could soon return to their homes," he said, Sunday (5/24).

He explained PSBB in Jakarta is still ongoing as the pandemic has not yet been over. Thus there must be preventive measures to stop it.

Eid Prayer, Health Protocols Implemented at Tidung Island's Grand Mosque

"Our purpose is to provide protection to Jakarta people with the hope of faster completion and stop the chain of the COVID-19 spread," he explained.

Despite the case began declining, the public must remain vigilant by complying with health protocols.

"It's for the good of all of us, let's follow the government's advice," he stressed.

Therefore, Satpol PP will never stop and get tired, and even continue to tighten supervision, discipline and crack down on residents and business places that violate PSBB.

His side also encourages public figures, religious figures and RT/RW caretakers to remind citizens to limit activities outside the home, as  they could potentially be infected with COVID-19.

"Let's keep our security, safety and health together, don't leave the house if it doesn't urgent," he stated.
