Anies Extends Jakarta PSBB, June Becomes Transition Period

He argued that one of the important transition phases towards new normal was the implementation of local-scale social restrictions (PSBL) at the RW level, which is able to suppress the positive case.

"The number of cases has decreased due to strict mobility restrictions," he explained.

Similar statement also came out from the Commission E member Basri Baco. He stated, Jakarta should learn a new style of life gradually considering there are economic demands due to the COVID-19 pandemic.

In this transition period, the city government should be really firm in conducting surveillance prior to the new normal as a deterrent effect for those who do not run the health protocols.

"We must be firm for those who violate the rules," he asserted.

Hopefully it could be realized well according to shared expectations namely towards a safe, healthy and productive society.

"I hope what has been prepared can run smoothly," he hoped.
