Dispora Reopens Outdoor Sports Facilities

Jakarta Youth and Sports Agency (Dispora) has opened a number of outdoor sport facilities during the large-scale social restrictions (PSBB) transition period.

Those sports facilities are jogging track, outdoor single tennis court, outdoor single badminton court, outdoor fitness, Jakarta International BMX Track Pulomas, archery field, Youth Center and Sports Ground. They start operating from 7 AM to 3 PM.

According to Achmad Firdaus, Head of Jakarta Dispora, they are open for individually, not in pairs and groups.

"Then we have yet to operate sport facilities that trigger direct physical contact such as, soccer, futsal, basketball, volleyball, sports in pairs, martial arts in groups and so forth," he expressed, Wednesday (6/10).

He explained, visitors are required to follow standard operating procedures (SOP) and applicable procedures to avoid the spread of COVID-19 including, the maximum number of visitors must be 50 percent of normal capacity and do not hold activities that bring in spectators or mass gatherings.

"So, every visitor must wear masks when entering the sports field and check body temperature, moreover we provide hand washing facilities. They must also maintain physical distancing," he stressed.
