City Gradually Reopens RTH by Implementing Health Protocols

Jakarta Government through Jakarta Park and Urban Forest Agency will gradually reopen green open spaces (RTH)s to the public. For information, all RTHs including Ragunan Zoo have been closed to public as well as limited funeral services and pilgrimages at public cemeteries (TPU) since March 13, 2020.
RTH opening in this initial phase will continue to be evaluated by concerning the development of COVID-19 spread
RTH will be reopened by implementing health protocols to prevent COVID-19 transmission. Provisions in RTH area during transitional Large-scale Social Restrictions (PSBB) are regulated in Jakarta Park and Urban Forest Agency Head's Decree No. 111/2020.
"RTH opening in this initial phase will continue to be evaluated by concerning the development of COVID-19 spread. If the situation gets better, RTH will open based on the latest evaluation result. But, if the situation gets worse, then RTH may be closed again," conveyed Suzi Marsitawati, Head of Jakarta Park and Urban Forest Agency as quoted from Jakarta PPID Press Release, Friday (6/12).
Ahead of Mall Opening, Anies Expects Health Protocols to Be Implemented WellRTHs under management of Jakarta Park and Urban Forest Agency consist of Parks, Green Lines, Urban Forests, Public Cemeteries, Nursery Park, and City-owned Zoo. Here are things that are taken into consideration in RTH opening and its applicable health protocols;
1. RTH has a function in improving quality of people's health, both physically and psychologically. However, restrictions are needed thus RTH will not be a center for spreading the virus since it is a place where people gathering. Here are health protocols that will be applied by people who visit RTH;
a. Visitor limitation with maximum 50 % of normal RTH capacity
b. Wear mask when visiting RTH
c. Wash hands often and bring hand sanitizer
d. Maintain physical distance between people of approximately 2 meters
e. Do not visit RTH when sick or body temperature more than 37.5 Celsius degree
f. People with age above 60 years, children (0-9 years), and people with congenital disease or complication such as diabetes, heart disease, kidney failure, respiratory disease and others are not allowed to visit RTH
g. Maintain cleanliness in RTH area by disposing trash on its place
h. Do not use children playground facility, sport facility, and benches
i. In RTH area, people are expected to always move, not taking a seat, especially gathering with the others
j. Do not use motorcycle/car and prohibited to park in RTH area
2. Urban forest will be opened gradually in 16 locations by concerning the safe zone area and security (fenced parks) start from June 13, 2020. Several personnel will be deployed to monitor urban forest visitors' activities. Here are 16 forest parks that will be opened in the initial phase;
a. Central Jakarta:
• Lapangan Banteng Park
b. South Jakarta :
• Tebet Park
• Kebagusan I
• Tabebuya Park
• Gandaria Swadarma Park
• Gandaria Tengah Park
c. North Jakarta:
• Sungai Kendal Park
• Serang Bango Park
• Bintaro Park
d. East Jakarta:
• TMB Delonix
• Apung Park
• PPA Park
• Bambu Park
• Piknik Park
e. West Jakarta:
• Green Garden Park
• Jalur Hijau Kosambi Park
3. Ragunan Zoo (TMR) will be opened from June 20, 2020. Entrance ticket can be obtained through online registration. Ticket counter that will be opened are only North Gate on Jl. Harsono RM and West Gate on Jl. Kavling Polri Cilandak KKO. Number of visitor is only allowed for 1,000 people; children (0-9 years) and elderly (age >60 years) are not allowed to visit. TMIR operational hour is limited from 8 AM to 1 PM. While Schmutzer Primate Center (PPS), Children Animal Park, Horse Riding, Bendi Horse, train ride, bicycle rental, and children playground are still closed to public.
Not only reducing the risk COVID-19 transmission, restrictions are also carried out to prevent animals from getting stress after not being visited for a long time.
4. Administrative service at public cemeteries (TPU) is opened by limiting service capacity of each TPU offices and implementing health protocols, such as wearing mask and maintaining physical distance.
