Transjakarta Installs 8 Wayfinding Signs in Tanah Abang

PT. Transjakarta collaborates with PT. MRT Jakarta (Perseroda), PT. Kereta Commuter Indonesia (KCI), and Jakarta Provincial Government in arranging transit area in Tanah Abang, Central Jakarta.

Wayfinding installation is a part of stations arrangement in Jakarta

In order to facilitate people in using integrated intermodal transport, Transjakarta installed 8 wayfinding signs in Tanah Abang transit area.

"Wayfinding installation is a part of stations arrangement in Jakarta. This arrangement is carried out in four stations; Senen Station, Juanda Station, Tanah Abang Station, and Sudirman Station and planned to be inaugurated this Wednesday (6/17)," stated Nadia Diposanjoyo, PT. Transjakarta Corporate Secretary and Public Relation Division Head in her written statement, on Wednesday (6/17).

Wayfinding System will Be Tested at Transjakarta Corridor 1 Tomorrow

Wayfinding signs in Tanah Abang are designed to provide information that is easy-to-read and easy-to-understand regarding public transports which operate in the area. It is also expected to facilitate people who want to go to other locations using public transport.

Here are information on each wayfinding signs which installed in Tanah Abang transit area, Central Jakarta:

1. Main Wayfinding Sign at the Interchange, informs the location of KRL commuterline, Transjakarta bus shelter, and public transport fleet services such as mikrotrans (microbus) and public minivan.

2. Wayfinding Sign at the Entrance Gate of Tanah Abang Station, informs direction to Tanah Abang Station, Jak Lingko Tanah Abang 2 bus shelter, Tanah Abang Skywalk, online motorcycle taxi's shelter, motorcycle taxi's shelter, bajaj, and drop-off point.

3. Wayfinding Sign at Drop-off Zone Entrance, informs direction to Tanah Abang Station, Jak Lingko Tanah Abang 2 bus shelter, Tanah Abang Skywalk, online motorcycle taxi's shelter, motorcycle taxi's shelter, bajaj, and drop-off point.

4. Wayfinding Sign at South Zebra Cross (leads to Tanah Abang Skywalk), informs direction to Tanah Abang Explorer bus shelter, Tanah Abang Station, Jak Lingko Tanah Abang bus shelter, and microtrans (microbus) and public minivan.

5. Gantry Wayfinding Sign that leads to Transjakarta bus shelter, informs direction to Jak Lingko Tanah Abang 2 bus shelter and routes that can be accessed, such as 1H (Tanah Abang Station - Gondangdia Station), 1N, 1R (Senen - Tanah Abang Station), 5M, 8C, 8K, 9D, S41, 5F.

6. Transjakarta Bus Shelter Identifier Mode, informs direction to Jak Lingko Tanah Abang 2 bus shelter and routes that can be accessed, such as 1H (Tanah Abang Station - Gondangdia Station), 1N, 1R (Senen - Tanah Abang Station), 5M, 8C, 8K, 9D, S41, 5F.

7. Bus Shelter Information Signage displays Transjakarta routes map.

8. Interchange Marker at the entrance gate from Jatibaru direction.

"By installing wayfinding and arranging integrated transit area, hopefully it will make it easier for people to access various public transport," she asserted.
