PD. PAL Jaya to Build IPALs with Edutainment Concept

Currently, PD. PAL Jaya is building wastewater treatment plants (IPAL)s with edutainment concept. This construction is targeted to finish in 2021.

Later on , we will invite students and college students

PD. PAL Jaya Acting President Director (Plh), Hidayat Sigit Suryanto mentioned, 2 IPALs are located in Kali Krukut, Setiabudi, South Jakarta and Ecopark Ancol, North Jakarta. For IPAL in Ancol, his side cooperates with PT. Pembangunan Jaya Ancol to construct it.

"Later on, we will invite students and college students, especially from Environmental Engineering Department to research and learn more about domestic waste and see the process until it is recycled for reuse," he explained, Thursday (6/25).

PD PAL Jaya Gears Up to Develop Three IPALs

According to him, this IPAL will be the first in Indonesia since it is built with edutainment concept.

"These IPALs offer different ways in processing the wastewater. In Kali Krukut, we use IPAL MBBR tech with capacity 100 liters per second due to limited space," he added.

Meanwhile, IPAL in Ecopark Ancol will use concept of natural process where its process don't go through mechanical process fully.

"Edutainment concept because we will provide home theater thus students can learn and see how the domestic waste is processed and its recycling process through audio and video," he closed.
