11 Elderly People in South Thousand Islands Undergo Rapid Tests

11 elderly people take the test today

The South Thousand Islands Puskesmas medical workers conducted COVID-19 rapid tests toward elderly people in Tidung Island Urban Village, Thursday (6/25).

According to Ilmi Tri Indiarto, Head of South Thousand Islands Puskesmas, it is done through jemput bola services, as they are the most vulnerable to contracting the coronavirus if they have to take mass rapid tests in the urban village.

"11 elderly people take the test today. It is part of the service of Ketuk Pintu Layani dengan Hati (Knock on doors, serve with heart), which is usually done before the COVID-19 outbreak," he expressed.

Additionally, medical workers also did similar test on three tourists who stayed at one homestay and one patient who had just given birth at the puskesmas.

"We focus on elderly people, pregnant women and people with disabilities who have difficulty accessing the examination location," he closed.
