South Jakartans Encouraged to Support Eco-friendly Bags Usage

South Jakarta Mayor, Marullah Matali encouraged his residents to support Gubernatorial Regulation (Pergub) No. 142/2019 regarding Obligation to Use Eco-friendly Shopping Bags that will be enforced starting July 1, 2020.

Residents should bring eco-friendly bags when shopping at traditional market and modern market starting tomorrow

This Pergub will be applied in shops, supermarkets, and traditional market. Thus his side expects shopping center management to pay attention to this Pergub by providing eco-friendly bags.

"As instruction from governor, residents should bring eco-friendly bags when shopping at traditional market and modern market starting tomorrow," he asserted, Tuesday (6/30).

Market Operation in South Jakarta Requires People to Use Eco-Friendly Bags

Since January 21, 2020, his side has socialized this Pergub to 24 traditional markets in South Jakarta, such as Tebet Barat and Tebet Timur Markets, Cipete Market, Mayestik Market, Bukit Duri Market, and Pesanggrahan Market.
