West Jakarta Water Resources (SDA) Sub-agency's Maintenance of Flood Control System for Raw Clean Water and Wastewater Section Head, Wawan stated, his side started dredging Apuran River since June 17. In order to increase capacity and flow of the river, his side planned to dredge it as long as 600 meters.
"Now, we have dredged 300 meters or 50 percent of the target," he informed, Tuesday (6/30).
East Jakarta Optimizes Flood Prevention ProgramsHis side deployed 14 personnel, 2 heavy equipments such as standard backhoe and amphibious excavator units, as well as 10 dump trucks with capacity 8 square meters and 3 tronton trucks with capacity 13 square meters.
"Until now, we have transported 403 cubic meters of mud. We plan to dredge around 70-100 centimeters," he closed.
