The Jakarta Provincial Government has distributed social aid in the form of 3,121 packages of staple food to those in need to mitigate the hardship of the COVID-19 pandemic in South Thousand Islands, Wednesday (7/1).
South Thousand Islands Sub-district Head Angga Saputra said the social aid consisted of rice, soy sauce, sardines, vermicelli, flour, soap, cooking oil and biscuits.

Tidung Island Urban Village Head Hafsah added his side had received 1,416 packages and distributed them directly through RT/RW caretakers to residents.
"Residents don't need to gather around to get them. We will come door to door so we won’t cause a crowd that could potentially lead to wider transmission of COVID-19," he stated.
