Rusunawa Occupants Express Excitement about Free Rental Costs

The low-cost rental apartment (Rusunawa) complex occupants are seen happy, as they get relief for not paying rent during the COVID-19 pandemic.

As expressed by Tuginem, one of Pesakih Rusunawa occupants on Jalan Daan Mogot, Kosambi Urban Village, Cengkareng, West Jakarta. She was grateful about the Jakarta Governor's policy that frees up the rental costs of the rusunawa.

City Frees Up Rental Costs for Rusunawa Occupants

"Surely I'm glad to hear that. Since COVID-19 attacks Jakarta, my two children are forced to stop working. Moreover I am in arrears in rent payments since March 2020, thank you Mr. Governor who has paid attention to our condition," she expressed, Monday (7/13).

Similar statement also came out from another occupant, Kusnadi (50) who lives in Block B, on third flood.

"Besides that we're also very grateful that the social aid package has been distributed to us lately," he uttered.

As for the information, the policy has been compliance with Gubernatorial Regulation number 61/2020 on the Relief of Regional Levies and/or the Abolishment of Administrative Sanctions on the Mandatory Levies Affected by the National Disaster COVID-19.
