Commission B Supports Use of Electric Buses in Jakarta

This is very good step, we strongly support this go green effort

The Jakarta Legislative Council (DPRD)'s Commission B is supporting the use of PT Transjakarta's electric buses whose operations are trialled on the City Hall - Blok M route.

According to Pandapotan Sinaga, Secretary of Commission B, his party would continue to drive the transformation of electricity-based transportation in Jakarta, which is targeted to grow up to 100 units by the end of this year.

"Before that, we will see first how effective it is," he expressed, Tuesday (7/14).

Similar statement also came out from Commission B Member Wita Susilowaty. She expressed, additional electric buses was very appropriate to reduce air pollution in Jakarta.

"This is very good step, we strongly support this go green effort," she stressed.

She hoped that they could provide excellent service to convince the public not to be afraid to switch to electricity-based transportation facilities.

"I hope everything goes well, ranging from the technical, service and its timeliness," she hoped.
