Kramat Jati Health Center Holds Swab Test Using Door-to-Door System

In order to break the chain of COVID-19 spread, Kramat Jati Health Center (Puskesmas), East Jakarta, provided door-to-door swab test on Tuesday (7/14). This service was carried out because there are still some residents who are exposed to COVID-19.

Thus, the more efficient way is to go straight to their homes for swab test

Health workers visited houses of residents whose name had been recorded by Puskesmas wearing a complete personal protective equipment (PPE). This service conducted at RW 10/01 Tengah Urban Village and RT 07/09 Kramat Jati Urban Village.

Kramat Jati Puskesmas Head, Inda Mutiara conveyed, contact tracing is often done to prevent COVID-19 spread. Through door-to-door service, her side can speed up the swab testing on people who have a potential to be exposed to COVID-19.

"It will take a long time to wait for them to go to Puskesmas. Maybe some of them are looking for reasons for not taking the test. Thus, the more efficient way is to go straight to their homes for swab test," she explained, Tuesday (7/14).

She informed, residents who took swab test today have been registered by COVID-19 Task Force. In detail, 5 residents at RT 07/09 Kramat Jati Urban Village and 27 residents at RT 10/01 Tengah Urban Village.

"We deploy 6 health workers for this service with assistance from COVID-19 Task Force at district level," she mentioned.
