"This utility manhole construction is a part of road and sidewalk revitalization in Kebayoran Baru," he informed, Tuesday (7/14).

His side constructs utility manholes in total 552 points with total length of about 13 kilometers. This project is carried out to relocate and organize the utility cables both on the road and underground thus it is safer and more convenient for the road users.

"Cables which are in the air will be relocated to the utility manhole thus utility cables installation or repair can be done more easily while maintaining the city's aesthetic," he added.

Related to the manhole project, his side will cover the cable excavation with sandbags to anticipate accidents by road users, such as falling into the hole as well as to strengthen its structure thus manhole cover doesn't collapse due to excessive vehicle load.

"It can reduce induction between cables in the manhole area which is at the connection point. We will continue to improve the safety and comfort for road users around the project site in accordance with the SOP," he conveyed.
