Companies must Be Cooperative to Report COVID-19 Cases

Jakarta Manpower, Transmigration and Energy Agency Head Andri Yansyah has called on companies or offices in the capital to be cooperative and do not consider the surveillance protocol of transmission prevention as a scourge considering it needs cooperation for keeping the company environment healthy and productive.

Our purpose and objective is to supervise the company thus can be healthy and able to do activities as usual

"You must be transparent. Our purpose and objective is to supervise the company thus can be healthy and able to do activities as usual. We need your cooperation to stop this dangerous virus," he expressed, Tuesday (7/28).

He explained one of the items in the Decree number 1477/2020 on COVID-19 Preventive Protocols at the Office/Workplace in Transitional PSBB was the formation of the Company's Internal COVID-19 Task Force Team.

He stated the team needed to actively implement the health protocol and report the positive status of COVID-19 workers to his agency. Thus it could be handled quickly.

"Please report to us if there is a case. This is part of the company's good faith to protect its employees, protect the community and protect their families," he stated.

In addition, the agency also responded and followed up on reports from the public, either from internal or external companies.

He asserted the internal company did not need to worry about reporting employees or company leaders who are exposed to COVID-19, as it would be a secret thing.

"We will keep it a secret, so do not need to worry," he asserted.

For reports from external communities, he assessed, it would be followed up through a sudden inspection (sidak) to the company in question to ensure there were cases of positive employees COVID-19.

Even a number of efforts to handle the virus| in companies or offices had been prepared. In the case of employees or workers who were exposed, his party would undertake temporary closures for three days.

They should be isolated for 14 days or treated at a company-appointed hospital or at athlete's guesthouse, including they who interact with those concerned.

"We'll make sure the company is clean of the virus and that workers can get back to work in good health," he explained.

As for those who still violate the rules would be subject to sanctions of sealing and stop operating for 14 days.

"Once again I say don't be afraid to report. So I want you to be cooperative for the common good in combating the coronavirus," he closed.
