Commission C Supports Bapenda in Improving Supporting Facilities

Jakarta Council (DPRD) Commission C supports Jakarta Regional Earnings Board (Bapenda) to improve its facilities and infrastructure in optimizing local tax revenues and levies.

Facilities improvement is expected to increase tax revenues and levies

Jakarta DPRD Commission C Vice Chairman, Rasyidi conveyed, improvement of supporting facilities is important to optimize local tax revenues and levies thus the target can be reached.

"We support it because facilities improvement is expected to increase tax revenues and levies," he said, Tuesday (7/28).

Bapenda Recruits 400 PBB-P2 Mapping Officers

The similar thing also conveyed by Commission C Legislator, Syahrial. According to him, facilities improvement in Bapenda that should be prioritized are online tax reporting and revenue system.

"Although it requires a large budget, but it is equivalent with improved target that should be reached after online tax system is implemented in Jakarta," he assessed.

Meanwhile, Jakarta Bapenda Acting Head (Plt), Edi Sumantri mentioned, his side still monitors tax collection for 13 types of local taxes and levies in 2020 to realize the application of online tax system.    

"Local revenue in 2020 will be focused on routine financing and handing COVID-19 pandemic. If local revenue condition to improve as before, we will propose to improve supporting facilities for online tax system," he conveyed.
