Nakertrans Informs 31 Offices Which Closed Temporarily in Jakarta

Jakarta Manpower, Transmigration (Nakertrans) and Energy Agency confirmed that the recent information about North Jakarta Police Resort closure due to the findings of COVID-19 case was not right.

I will clarify that 31 offices are temporarily closed and North Jakarta Police Resort is not included

Jakarta Nakertrans and Energy Agency Head, Andri Yansyah mentioned, this mistake was caused by internal administrative error.

He informed, as many as 31 offices were closed temporarily from the beginning of transitional PSBB period until August 5, 2020. 24 of those offices were closed due to positive COVID-19 cases reports, while the other 7 offices were closed for violating COVID-19 health protocols.

"Related to the news of North Jakarta Police Resort closure is not true. We apologize for the administrative error that occurred. I will clarify that 31 offices are temporarily closed and North Jakarta Police Resort is not included," he asserted, Wednesday (8/5).

His side is currently monitoring offices in Jakarta due to the high risk of COVID-19 transmission in the area.

Number of offices with positive COVID-19 cases or violate COVID-19 health protocols will be closed temporarily by Jakarta Nakertrans and Energy Agency.

"Nakertrans and Energy Agency conducts inspection in offices and companies where the employees are indicated to be exposed to COVID-19 based on public reports, including reports from internal company employees," he mentioned.

In the other hand, he really appreciates companies and offices that have been cooperative in reporting positive COVID-19 cases within their employees tot eh Jakarta National Labor and Energy Agency.

He gives the highest appreciation to companies that are honest, and willing to open their doors for inspections, and willing to be closed temporarily.

"Don't feel disgraceful. Instead, we are grateful and give our utmost appreciation for those who follow COVID-19 protocols when their employees are exposed," he stated.

He also reminds all companies and offices in Jakarta to report if there is positive COVID-19 case in work place, thus further prevention can be carried out sooner.

Closure due to COVID-19 cases didn't mean it was carried out in all offices in the building. But only the area or division where the employees found to be infected with COVID-19.

"Unless, the positive cases were found massively in the office. The area will be closed for three days for disinfectant spraying. Employees who are exposed to COVID-19 may not be laid off and have the right to be paid based on the applicable regulations," he conveyed.
