DPRD Dukung Penerbitan Kepgub 879 Tentang Perpanjangan PSBB

DPRD Supports Extension of Transitional PSBB Period

We support it, as we continue to monitor the results of monitoring and evaluation from the COVID-19 task force to curb the disease

Jakarta Legislative Council (DPRD) Vice Chairman Abdurahman Suhaimi supports the issuance of Gubernatorial Decree number 879/2020 on the extension of the transitional PSBB dated on August 27.

According to him, the PSBB extension until September 10 was the right decision, following the high number of COVID-19 spread in Jakarta.

Council Supports Extension of Transition Phase Until July 30

"We support it, as we continue to monitor the results of monitoring and evaluation from the COVID-19 task force to curb the disease," he expressed, Tuesday (9/1).

His party also had no problem if the transitional PSBB was automatically extended as written in the second dictum of the Gubernatorial Regulation number 879/2020.

"It is because COVID-19 handling has been very well implemented in terms of handling medical devices and attention to medical workers. However we must pay more attention to their safety," he stressed.

In the meantime, DPRD Vice Chairwoman Zita Anjani suggested the city should be even more stringent in terms of implementing protocol health in Jakarta, such as plans to open cinemas that could potentially trigger crowds.

"Hopefully all local activities can be further tightened," she asserted.
