Until September 3, East Jakarta Gulkarmat Carries Out Disinfectant Spraying 5,426 Times

From March 14 to September 3, East Jakarta Fire Handling and Rescue (Gulkarmat) Sub-agency has carried out disinfectant spraying for 5,426 times.

Disinfectant spraying is done as our effort in preventing COVID-19 transmission in the area

East Jakarta Gulkarmat Sub-agency's Fire Control and Rescue Section Head, Gatot Sulaeman stated, disinfectant spraying has been carried out in 677 RWs or 7,614 RTs in 10 sub-districts or 65 urban villages throughout East Jakarta.

The locations also varied from residential areas, worship places, public facilities, traditional markets, and others.

"Disinfectant spraying is done as our effort in preventing COVID-19 transmission in the area," he mentioned, Friday (9/4).

For sterilizing the area, his side used firetrucks, modified motorcycles which equipped with electric tanks with capacity 16 liters or adapted with conditions on the field.

Every day, his side deploys 100 personnel divided in 20 teams who are equipped with 30 backpack sets, 32 sprayers, and 10 operational cars.

"Disinfectant spraying is also carried out to follow up request from residents, government institutions or private companies, and worship places administrators," he closed.
