Number of Fire Cases in North Jakarta Declined

From January to August 2020, number of fire cases in North Jakarta declined compared to the previous year. In the same period last year, it reached 217 fire cases, while for this year it decreased by 13 percent with total 190 fire cases.

At least, there are 7 fire cases that burn down warehouses or factories

North Jakarta and Thousand Islands Fire Handling and Rescue (Gulkarmat) Sub-agency Head, Rahmat Kristantio mentioned, from total 190 fire cases occurred in January to August 2020, the burning objects were dominated by houses with 58 cases,then followed by substations or electric cables with 43 cases.

"At least, there are 7 fire cases that burn down warehouses or factories," he added, Tuesday (8/9).

January-July Period, 237 Fire Cases Occurred in South Jakarta

In this period, the cause of fires was dominated by backyard burning of trash with total 22 cases. While others were caused by cigarette (3 cases) and stove (2 cases).

"Not only complying with health protocols, but we must to be careful with fire," he asserted.
