Cakung Flyover Development Process Has Reached 71 Percent

The Cakung Flyover development process in East Jakarta has reached 71 percent and now has entered the girder lifting stage.

The work has touched 71 percent from the initial plan was 66 percent

Jakarta Bina Marga Agency Head Hari Nugroho said work plans and realization had a positive deviation of five percent. The girder lifting was mainly on the west side of the East Flood Canal (KBT) and flyover girders that cross the railway tracks.

"The work has touched 71 percent from the initial plan was 66 percent. So there is a positive deviation of five percent," he said, Wednesday (9/9).

He expressed around 84 girders would be installed and currently it had reached 72 girders as of September 7. This flyover was built to parse traffic jam caused by railway crossings and minimize accidents.

"That railway crossings will be closed down. So, drivers will be directed through the Cakung Flyover. It is targeted to be complete by the end of this year," he hoped.
