City Again Shuts Down Cycling Activities in 10 Locations

This policy starts to take effect tomorrow, Sunday (9/13)

Jakarta Provincial Government has once again suspended 10 special cycle areas (KKP) in five areas of Jakarta following the reimposing the large-scale social restrictions (PSBB) policy amid a rising number of confirmed COVID-19 cases on September 14.

"This policy starts to take effect tomorrow, Sunday (9/13). Hence, residents who want to exercise can do it at their respective homes," disclosed Jakarta Transportation Agency Head, Syafrin Liputo, Saturday (9/12).

His party once again told that what residents should not underestimate was avoiding crowds that could be sources of infection. Thus staying at home was still the best option for now.

"Please avoid the crowd and implement 3M health protocols well, such as washing hands, wearing masks and keeping a distance," he explained.

Here are special cyclist areas suspended in 10 locations:

- Central Jakarta

a. Jalan Gajah Mada

b. Jalan Hayam Wuruk

c. Jalan Benyamin Sueb

- West Jakarta

a. Jalan Gajah Mada

b. Jalan Hayam Wuruk

- North Jakarta

a. Jalan Danau Sunter Selatan

b. Jalan Benyamin Sueb

- East Jakarta

a. Jalan Raya Raden Intan

b. Jalan KBT Sisi Utara

- South Jakarta

a. Antasari Non-toll Flyover
