PMI Launches Mass Disinfectant Spraying Movement in West Jakarta

The Indonesian Red Cross (PMI) of West Jakarta Municipality, launched a mass disinfectant spraying movement in all residential areas in West Jakarta. It was started from RW 03, Wijaya Kusuma Urban Village, Grogol Petamburan, on this Saturday (9/19).

"We always remind residents to comply with health protocols. Other effort that can be done is to patrol the village while hitting kentongan (instrument made from bamboo to sound an alarm). It is expected to make people more aware of the dangers of COVID-19 transmission," he mentioned.

West Jakarta PMI Chairperson, Baharuddin explained, in carrying out mass disinfectant spraying at RW 03, Wijaya Kusuma Urban Village, his side deployed 25 personnel, 20 sprayers, four cars to transport disinfectant, and 5 disinfection becak motor (bentor) units.
"Disinfectant spraying is carried out in all public facilities, such as residential areas, schools, worship places, government office buildings, and markets," he closed.
