DPRD Deputy Chairperson Supports City to Add COVID-19 Burial Grounds

Jakarta Council (DPRD) Deputy Chairperson, Zita Anjani supported Jakarta Government's plan to add more burial grounds for COVID-19 victims.

I suggest and support City to add the burial grounds

"I suggest and support City to add the burial grounds. Because from what I heard, they will add more burial grounds for COVID-19 victims. It must be prepared as a precaution," she stated, Tuesday (9/22).

She also expected City to prepare more incentives and additional personnel who specifically take care of funerals for COVID-19 bodies. Considering, the duties carried out by funeral personnel are quite heavy in the midst of pandemic.

"They work all day long wearing personnel protective equipment (PPE). Even, sometimes they have to work overtime because of the increasing number of COVID-19 bodies. Therefore, we need to prioritize their welfare and health,"
