Bina Marga Ensures Water Pumps in 15 Underpasses Can Operate Optimally

Ahead of rainy season, Jakarta Bina Marga Agency ensures water pumps which placed in 15 underpasses are in a great condition.

Previously, we had repaired 3 broken pumps in Matraman Underpass, Senen Underpass, and Kemayoran Underpass

Jakarta Bina Marga Agency Head, Hari Nugroho conveyed, there are 65 pumps placed in 15 underpasses. Each locations have around 3-6 pumps with different capacities.  

"We have anticipated it. Ahead of rainy season, all pumps, including those which located in 15 underpasses are in a great condition," he mentioned, Thursday (9/24).

Not only doing routine maintenance, his side is also ready to repair the broken pumps.

"Previously, we had repaired 3 broken pumps in Matraman Underpass, Senen Underpass, and Kemayoran Underpass. Now it operates normally," he stated.

According to him, pump operation can be adjusted based on rain intensity and inundation capacity in the underpass.

"We can operate it alternately, 3 pumps can operate while the other one is on standby. But when heavy rain falls with large water discharge, we operate all the pumps," he said.
