West Jakarta SDA Prepares 46 Pump Houses and 40 Mobile Pumps

Anticipating flooding and inundation in West Jakarta, Water Resources Sub-agency prepared 40 mobile pumps, as well as 46 pump houses which consisting of 135 water pumps.

All pump houses and mobile pumps are in prime condition and ready to be used to drain inundation

"All pump houses and mobile pumps are in prime condition and ready to be used to drain inundation," stated West Jakarta SDA Sub-agency Head, Purwanti Suryandari, on Thursday (9/24).

Her side deployed personnel which divided into 3 work shifts to be on standby in each pump houses. Each shift consisted of 3-5 personnel, based on the size of pump house.

Meanwhile, 35 of 40 mobile pumps have been prepared in several locations prone to inundation such as Jalan Patra, Kebon Jeruk; Jalan Satria, Grogol Petamburan, and others.

"The remaining 5 mobile pumps will be used as a backup to handle flooding," he conveyed.
