Tens personnel of Gambir Sub-district Water Resources (SDA) Unit, Central Jakarta, were deployed to normalize water channel on Jalan Batu Ceper, Kebon Kelapa Urban Village, on Sunday (9/27).
Until this day, channel normalization is carried out manually
Gambir Sub-district SDA Unit Head, Satino conveyed, this channel has length of 100 meters and width 200 centimeters. His side has started this channel normalization project since Monday (9/21) by repairing, dredging, and widening the channel thus it can prevent inundation in the area.
"We have repaired it since Monday by deploying 20 Gambir SDA personnel. It is carried out to anticipate inundation during rainy season," he mentioned.
Connecting Channel on Jalan Jembatan Besi Raya CleanedInitially this channel, he informed, had width of 80 centimeters and has been widened to 200 centimeters. In a day, his side could collect 80 sacks of mud from the channel.
"Until this day, channel normalization is carried out manually. We estimate it to finish by the end of December," he stated.
