Prevention of Violence Against Women and Children Socialized to 1,379 Schools

Jakarta Child Protection and Empowerment and Population Control (PPAPP) Agency together with the Religion Ministry Region Office conducts socialization about prevention of violence against women and children, either schools or the community.

Students are hoped not only understand the types of violence that exist, but also prevent and report

Jakarta PPAPP Agency Head Tuty Kusumawati said its socialization involved 1,007 schools and 372 Madrasah Aliyah Islamic senior high schools in July until September.

This socialization included, disseminating information and material about the types of child violence acts in the school environment. Aside that, students were also invited to discuss via Whatsapp media or electronic mail to prevent violence against children in schools.

PPAPP Holds Socialization Concerning RPTRA Referral in Violence Cases Against Children

"Students are hoped not only understand the types of violence that exist, but also prevent and report when they see or even experience violence against the school," she expressed, Monday (10/5).

It was done online to the general public via zoom and broadcasted live on Youtube and Facebook channels belong to the PPAPP Agency, with a total audience of 12,197 people.

"It's hoped that it can increase public awareness, especially in Jakarta, to take real action in preventing and reporting acts of violence against women and children that occur around them," she stated.
