48 Punished for Not Wearing Masks in Cipayung

47 are sanctioned with social work and the other is sanctioned with administrative fines as much as Rp 250,000

At least 48 people have violated the transitional large-scale social restriction (PSBB) rules in Cipayung area, East Jakarta. They were subject to social sanctions and administrative fines.

Cipayung Sub-district Satpol PP Head Widodo said those violators were netted in the mask operation held on Jalan Raya Gempol, Ceger Urban Village, at the junction of Kencur, Cipayung Urban Village, on Jalan Raya Lubang Buaya, Jalan Bambu Hitam, RW 02, Bambu Apus Urban Village.

Then Jalan Raya Setu, Jalan Raya Cilangkap, in residential area, RW 08, Munjul Urban Village and Pondok Ranggon TPU area.

"47 are sanctioned with social work and the other is sanctioned with administrative fines as much as Rp 250,000," he expressed, Tuesday (10/13).

During the operation, his side dispatched 28 joint personnel of Satpol PP, Transportation Sub-agency, army/police and Early Awareness Society Forum (FKDM).

Aside that, they also continued to campaign 3M protocols (wearing masks, washing hands, maintaining physical distancing) to residents.

"Hopefully it can give them deterrent effect thus people are increasingly obeying health protocols in an effort to minimize the spread of COVID-19," he hoped.
