Satpol PP Closely Intensifies PSBB Patrol to Curb COVID-19

Jakarta Satpol PP Head Arifin has called on his personnel at the provincial to urban village levels to be more aggressive in conducting patrols to monitor the implementation of the PSBB in Jakarta.

"They must be more aggressive and must massively do supervision on the crowd, business places and workplaces, with regard to the use of masks. This applies to all sectors that have been subject to some kind of limitation and control," he expressed, Monday (9/28).

He explained, based on operation data as of September 14-27, the violation was still dominated by mask in 21,285 cases with details social work given to 19,816 people and administrative fines given to 1,469 people. The fines that were paid reached Rp 233,725,000.

During PSBB Monitoring on September 14-24, Satpol PP Nets 15,389 Violators

"While the other fines, restaurants Rp 17,200,000 and workplaces Rp 7,000,000 thus the total amount is Rp 257,925,000," he explained.

He continued that the highest operation was in Tambora Sub-district (West Jakarta), Cipayung Sub-district (East Jakarta), Koja Sub-district (North Jakarta), Tanah Abang Sub-district (Central Jakarta) and Kebayoran Baru Sub-district (South Jakarta).

Therefore residents should be constantly reminded that Jakarta was still in a state of emergency COVID-19.

"Our hope is the next two weeks will make a positive contribution in stopping the chain of the spread of the disease," he hoped.
