Dolken Woods Installed to Prevent Subsequent Landslide in Ciganjur

South Jakarta Water Resources (SDA) Sub-agency installed hundreds wood logs as retaining wall in location which previously eroded, on Jalan Damai, RT 04/02, Ciganjur Urban Village, Jagakarsa.

We have cleaned the channels from soil that was carried by landslide

South Jakarta SDA Sub-agency Head, Mustajab mentioned, dolken woods were installed to prevent soil from getting eroded further when the rain falls.

"We have cleaned the channels from soil that was carried by landslide. Now water flow on the channel has run normally," he added, Friday (10/16).

January-August, South Jakarta SDA Completed 55 Projects

As many as 15 SDA Unit personnel were deployed to install wood logs in layers using one unit of excavator and ensure it is strong enough to hold the soil.

"It is done for people's safety. Currently, we are still discussing with developer to repair it permanently," he closed.
