Floods in Muara Angke Have Started to Recede

The floods on Jalan Dermaga and part of Muara Angke residential area, RW 22, Pluit Urban Village, Penjaringan, North Jakarta have begun receding after operating two portable pumps at the location.
"Those pumps have 300 liters per second capacity. We send them to smoothen water flow into the Asin River," expressed North Jakarta Water Resources (SDA) Sub-agency Head, Adrian Mara Maulana, Tuesday (10/20).
Floodwaters in Lubang Buaya Have Totally RecededHe explained they had about 1 cubic meter per second power. By operating them, they could accelerate receding the floods.
Pluit Urban Village Head Rosiwan explained it occurred, because of high sea levels and overflowing waters through the end of the Adem River Pier, Muara Angke Harbor. Then it continued with floodwaters in the afternoon and experienced a peak flood up to about 15 cm high.
