"It is in accordance with the Governor Decree number 1020/2020. If there is an alarming level of transmission, we can stop all activities that have been opened during the transitional PSBB and re-implement tightening," he expressed, Sunday (10/25), as quoted by Jakarta PPID's press release.

Based on the results of COVID-19 monitoring in Jakarta in the last two weeks, transmission is relatively sloping, marked by the average percentage of positive cases in the past week at 9.9% with a test ratio of 5.8 per 1000 population in the last week.

Aside that, the average need for isolation beds in the past two weeks tended to decline from 64% on October 12 to 59% on October 24. Even the number decreased relatively from 68% on October 12 to 62% on October 24.

The effective reproductive value which is also an indication of the presence or absence of transmission is at a score of 1.05 on October 24, compared to a score of 1.06 on October 12.

To maintain and control the COVID-19 situation, the entire community must be disciplined in implementing 3M protocols (wearing masks, maintaining physical distancing and washing hands frequently).

Based on the results of 3M behavior observations from the FKM Team from UNICEF, there was a decline in the trend of adherence to the behavior of wearing masks from 75% on October 12 to 71% on October 24 and adherence to maintaining distance from 75% on October 12 to 73% on October 24.

Yet there was an improvement in hand washing behavior from 39% on October 12 to 43% on October 24.

The public is urged to remind each other in implementing 3M protocols every day. It is important for the common good in a bid to curb the transmission of COVID-19.
