RPTRAs in Thousand Islands Opened in Stages by Implementing Health Protocols

Children-Friendly Integrated Public Spaces (RPTRAs) in Thousand Islands were opened in stages from October 12, 2020, by implementing health protocols and other adjustments to prevent COVID-19 transmission.

Thousand Islands Empowerment, Children Protection, and Population Control (PPAPP) Sub-agency Head, Rizki Hamid stated, RPTRA's reopening has followed requirements as mentioned in Jakarta PPAPP Agency Head's Decree No. 261/2020 concerning Provisions in Managing RPTRA During Transitional PSBB Period Towards a Healthy, Safe, and Productive Society.

"We hope everyone, both visitors and RPTRA administrators, can comply with health protocols," he asserted, Monday (10/19).

According to him, there were several requirements imposed in RPTRAs, such as limiting visitors up to 50 percent of normal capacity, collecting visitors' data and not allowing children under 9 years old and elderly from entering RPTRA.

Besides, some facilities in RPTRAs were closed temporarily, including hall, library room, lactation room, management room, PKK Grossmart room, sports field, children playground, and outdoor fitness facility.

"Visitors can only use park, reflection park, reflexology park, and jogging track. We will adjust the other regulations," he added.

Moreover, RPTRA visitors should be healthy, have normal body temperature, wear mask, wash hands with soap and running water, maintain distance, and avoid crowds.

"We have asked RPTRA administrators to optimize monitoring to ensure all provisions are running well," he closed.
