North Jakarta Water Resources (SDA) Sub-agency dredged channel on Jalan Pademangan II Gang 10, RT 05/05, Pademangan Timur, Pademangan.

This channel can't drain water properly because it is full of mud

This dredging work was targeted to finish in mid November 2020.

Pademangan SDA Unit Head, Slamet Riyanto conveyed, dredging was carried out to minimize inundation in the region. Because when heavy rain falls, this channel often overflows.

"This channel can't drain water properly because it is full of mud. Its depth is 100 centimeters, but the mud thickness reaches 60 centimeters," he mentioned, Monday (10/26).

His side has started to dredge channel with width of 100 centimeters and length of 126 meters since Monday (10/25).

For this dredging, his side deployed tens personnel with simple tools, such as hoe and strainer. During the work, personnel on the field will be ensured to implement COVID-19 prevention health protocols.

"Yesterday, we have transported 300 sacks full of mud. Today, we also prepare 300 sacks. This work is targeted to finish within 3 weeks," he said.
