Kebon Sirih Urban Village Builds Three Disaster Preparedness Posts

Kebon Sirih Urban Village, Menteng, Central Jakarta built three disaster preparedness posts to anticipate flooding.

PPSU personnel will be on standby to check condition of water channels near those roads and ensure there is no blockage

Kebon Sirih Urban Village Head, Samsul Ma’arif conveyed, it is located in urban village office and residential areas of RW 08 and 10, which are located near Ciliwung River.

"These two RWs are often flooded thus we need to build posts to monitor as well as to get early information when Ciliwung River is overflowing," he stated, Wednesday (11/4).

Not only monitoring flood runoff from Ciliwung River, his side also deployed PPSU personnel in posts to check water channels on Jalan Wahid Hasyim, Menteng Kecil, and Kebon Sirih Barat since those three roads are often flooded due to overflowing channels when it rains.

"PPSU personnel will be on standby to check condition of water channels near those roads and ensure there is no blockage,"  he mentioned.
