Jakarta Water Resources (SDA) Agency has repaired and conducted maintenance on 10 Automatic Rainfall Recorder (ARR) units.

jakarta SDA Agency's Data and Information Center (Pusdatin) Information System Unit Head, Anwar Sobandi explained, ARR is a device that is used to automatically calculate amount of rainfall in a certain time using solar panel and batteries as its source of electricity.
Repair and maintenance was carried out since mid of September 2020 and now all the ARR units have operated well.

According to him, it is important to repair and carry out maintenance regularly because rainfall data results can be used as basic data for hydrological analysis.
"Besides, it can also be used to find out how much rainfall in certain area in real time when it rains," he said.
For information, those ARR units were installed in Manggarai Sluice Gate, Karet Sluice Gate, PS. Krukut Hulu, Katulampa Reservoir, PS. Cipinang Hulu, Cident Sluice Gate, Pluit Pump House, Pasar Ikan Pump House, Marina Ancol Sluice Gate, and Yos Sudarso 1 Pump House.
