South Jakarta KPKP Targets to Give Rabies Vaccination to 6,500 Animals This Year

This year, South Jakarta Maritime, Agriculture, and Food Security (KPKP) Sub-agency targeted to vaccine 6,500 animals that have a potential to transmit rabies.

South Jakarta KPKP Sub-agency Head, Hasudungan Sidabalok conveyed, recently his side intensifies rabies vaccination for residents' pets such as cats, dogs, monkeys, and civets.

"This year, rabies vaccination is targeted to be given to 6,500 animals," he stated, Friday (11/6).

Until October, 4,826 Animals in West Jakarta Have Been Vaccinated

He admitted that Covid-19 pandemic caused rabies vaccination activity to stop for three months and now it is being intensified again. Until end of October, it has reached 70 percent of the target.

"Until end of October, we have vaccinated more than 4,000 animals. We are optimistic to meet this year's target," he asserted.
