City Holds Ceremony to Commemorate the 75th Heroes' Day at Jakarta City Hall

Jakarta Government held flag ceremony to commemorate the 75th Heroes' Day on Block G Building's Yard, Jakarta City Hall, on Tuesday (11/10). The ceremony which themed of 'My All-Time Heroes' was held under strict health protocols.

Acting as ceremonial inspector, Jakarta Vice Governor, Ahmad Riza Patria (Ariza) advised people to use Heroes' Day moment for carrying out mutual cooperation to fight COVID-19.
"In the past, our heroes fought for independence and defended it. Now, it is our turn to fight against COVID-19 pandemic. It's time for us to unite, work together, mutually support each others. Don't blame the others, but we need to fight against the pandemic," he stated, as quoted from Jakarta PPID Press Release.
Heroes' Day, South Jakarta Satpol PP Deploys Personnel to Assist SecurityIn overcoming COVID-19, his side expected situations to be better in the future, with improved supporting facilities.
"Hopefully, recovery rate in Jakarta will continue to increase to 90 percent and death rate will decline to 2.1 percent. Various facilities, isolation rooms, ICU rooms, beds, health workers, and referral hospitals can be better in handling the situation and increased in number," he said.
According to him, those efforts can give a good result if there is good cooperation from various parties, ranging from central government, private sector, BUMN/BUMD, Provincial Government and most importantly, the support and participation of all Jakarta residents.
"We want you to continue maintain and improve your discipline in complying 3M, by washing hands, maintaining distance, and wearing mask. I encourage you all, especially younger generation, to learn from our heroes who struggle to sacrifice their whole body and soul for the nation and state," he conveyed.
For information, Jakarta Bina Marga Agency Head, Hari Nugroho also attended the ceremony as the leader of ceremony along with other internal officials of Jakarta Provincial Government.
