Long Storage Canal Construction in Rorotan Targeted to Finish in December

North Jakarta Water Resources (SDA) Sub-agency builds long storage canal on Jalan Babek TNI, RW 10, Rorotan, Cilincing.

Our target is to finish it in December

Its construction is started from October and targeted to finish in this December.

Cilincing SDA Sub-district Unit Head, Cahyo Budi Setiawan conveyed, his side planned to build long storage canal with length of 400 meters and depth of 6 meters in front of Komplek TNI Babek, RW 10, Rorotan.

"This cannal will be used to connect drainage from RW 04 and RW 10 Rorotan before it flows into PHB channel," he said, Wednesday (11/11).

According to him, water from long storage canal will flow into PHB channel along 1.3 kilometers in Nusa Kiran residential area, RW 12 and 13, Rorotan. Then, water will flow to Blencong River before being discharged into the sea.

At the same time, his side also drained PHB channel that connects long storage into Blencong River. Long storage canal construction is expected to overcome inundation in several RWs in Rorotan and Cakung Timur.

"Now, we only need to connect it with Blencong River a little more. Our target is to finish it in December," he mentioned.
