PPSU Members Deployed to Resolve in Case of Inundation in Central Jakarta

They are in the field for monitoring and tactical steps to resolve in case of inundation

All PPSU members in each urban village have been alerted to overcome flooding in their respective areas.

Central Jakarta Mayor Bayu Meghantara said they were instructed to monitor and conduct quick handling at the location, including cleanup action around the pump houses in order to avoid clogging.

"They are in the field for monitoring and tactical steps to resolve in case of inundation," he expressed, Friday (11/13).

He explained a number of mobile pumps also had been alerted in several flood-prone areas in eight sub-districts.

"These pumps are sent to speed up the process of receding water in locations prone to puddles," he explained.

He added its placement was according to the request of the sub-district and urban village heads that also conducts field monitoring when heavy rains fall.

"So, all parties are involved in handling and anticipating inundation in Central Jakarta," he stated.
