Central Jakarta Satpol PP Has Sanctioned 2,939 PSBB Violators

We want them to be aware of the coronavirus and always be disciplined in adhering to the rules

The Central Jakarta Satpol PP says as many as 2,939 people have been netted after violating the transitional large-scale social restrictions (PSBB) rules since November 9-15.

According to Bernard Tambunan, Head of Central Jakarta Satpol PP, the number had increased compared to the first week of November, which amounted to 2,167 people.

"We routinely hold mask operation every day in eight sub-districts. We just want them to always be disciplined by wearing a mask outside the house," he expressed, Wednesday (11/18).

Of 2,939, 18 of them did not wear masks and were subject to a fine of up to Rp 3.65 million.

"Then 2,913 undergo social work sanction by cleaning public facilities," he explained.

He added, together with related units, his side also held health protocols monitoring in workplaces until shopping centers.

"We want them to be aware of the coronavirus and always be disciplined in adhering to the rules. Without the support of them, efforts to deal with COVID-19 cannot run optimally," he stated.
