63 Tons Collected From Today's Simultaneous Harvesting Activity

As many as 63 tons of livestock and vegetables had been harvested at online harvest activity which carried out simultaneously in 228 locations throughout Jakarta.

About 62.3 tons from agricultural sector, 0.7 tons from fisheries sector, and 160 animals from livestock sector

For livestock sector, as many as 160 livestock animals had been harvested, including rabbits, cows, magots, and love birds.

Jakarta Marine Agriculture and Food Security (KPKP) Agency Acting Head (Plt) Suharini Eliawati said that recently urban farming activities have been carried out widely by involving various groups ranging from children, students, housewives, employees in government and private companies, public figures, and urban farmers.

So far, Jakarta Government continues to support activities for urban farming development in Jakarta through face-to-face or virtual coaching such as webinar.

This simultaneous harvesting activity was carried out virtually in 228 locations; 56 locations in East Jakarta, 52 locations in North Jakarta, 42 locations in South Jakarta, 40 locations in West Jakarta, 31 locations in Central Jakarta, and 6 locations in Thousand Islands.

The harvest locations consisted of 12 office areas, 1 police office area, 58 RPTRA areas, 2 school areas, 154 farmer groups areas with total yields reached 63 tons.
