Belibis Reservoir Construction Process Reaches 60 Percent

Belibis Reservoir construction process has reached 60 percent. This reservoir is located in Semper Barat, Cilincing, North Jakarta.

About 2.5 hectares have been freed and we are currently dredging it with assistance from CSR

Jakarta Water Resources (SDA) Agency Head, Juaini Yusuf mentioned, this reservoir has an area about 3.8 hectares. Recently, its construction work has reached 2.5 hectares.

"Indeed, there are still some areas that haven't been acquired and we plan to free it in early next year. About 2.5 hectares have been freed and we are currently dredging it with assistance from CSR," he conveyed, Friday (12/4).

Cilincing Encourages Private Parties to Overcome Flooding

His side operated four heavy equipment to dredge mud as well as to arrange and build the reservoir. Belibis Reservoir is connected with Gubuk Genteng River and Sepatan River that leads into Cakung Drain.

Belibis Reservoir is built to overcome inundation that often happened at RW 01 and RW 05 in Semper Barat Urban Village. Besides, this reservoir is expected to be eco-tourism spot where people can also use this place as interaction spot.

"Some heavy equipment are from Agency and the others from private company. It consists of two excavator and two amphibious units. We are currently arranging reservoir area and build dam in this location. It is estimated to finish in December," he conveyed.
