Channel Construction on Jl. Nusa Indah I is Almost Complete

Construction of 632-meter channel on Jl. Nusa Indah I, Malaka Jaya, Duren Sawit, East Jakarta is almost complete since it has currently reached 98.9 percent.

East Jakarta Water Resources (SDA) Sub-agency's Development and Drainage Improvement Section Head, Tengku Saugi Zikri conveyed, this water channel was installed using concreted U-Ditch and Box Culvert.

His side used U-Ditch with size 80x80 centimeters along 409 meters and size 100x100 centimeters along 70 meters.

Meanwhile for Box Culvert, his side used size 80x80 centimeters along 16 meters and size 100x100 centimeters along 5 meters. Then continued with size 150x150 centimeters along 132 meters.

"Construction progress has reached 98.9 percent," he said, Wednesday (12/9).

This channel which located in Perumnas Klender Public Housing is expected to hold water from Nusa Indah Connecting (Phb) Channel and drain it into I Gusti Ngurah Rai Channel.

"Hopefully, this channel can be used to minimize inundation and flooding," he asserted.
