The declaration was directly led by the Thousand Islands Regent Junaedi and attended by related regional organizations (OPD) at the Mitra Praja Office, North Jakarta.

The regent said, as an area that became a pilot area for healthy sanitation, residents were urged to keep the environment clean. The Thousand Islands should be a clean and comfortable tourist spot.
