Biopal MCK at Kelapa Gading Timur Urban Village will Be Inaugurated

PD. PAL Jaya will inaugurate biopal washroom (MCK) at Kelapa Gading Timur Urban Village, Kelapa Gading, North Jakarta. Biopal MCK construction is using corporate social responsibility (CSR) fund from DKI Bank as much as Rp 50 million.

This is a positive thing since biopal MCK can reduce open defecation (BABS) case in Jakarta

PD. PAL Jaya Director, Subekti said, initially Kelapa Gading Timur Urban Village has planned to provide MCK because it is a densely populated area.

"This is a positive thing since biopal MCK can reduce open defecation (BABS) case in Jakarta," he stated, Thursday (4/19).

S. Jakarta Declares ODF in Two Urban Villages

He explained, currently biopal MCK construction has entered finishing phase. After it is inaugurated, this area will be a pilot for other urban village in Jakarta.

Kelapa Gading Timur Urban Village Head, Tulus Harjo hopes in the future residents can have a healthy life and utilize the existing MCK facility.

"Land where MCK is built was given from the resident. Each MCK is built as wide as 1.5 x 3 meters with 2 meters depth. Later, PD. PAL Jaya and residents will be responsible for its maintenance," he informed.
