Jejak to Prevent New Cluster

Jejak is one of digital guest book features at JAKI to monitor visitors movement in and out of the building by scanning QR code. This feature is made through collaboration between Jakarta Government and digital company, Cartenz.

The main function of this feature was designed according to Jakarta Gubernatorial Regulation (Pergub) No. 101/2020 concerning Discipline and Law Enforcement of Health Protocols as Efforts to Prevent and Control Coronavirus Disease 2019.

One important point in that Pergub is regulation that restricted capacity in public places or buildings which are allowed to operate during Large-Scale Social Restrictions (PSBB) period.

Jakarta Smart City BLUD Chairman, Yudhistira Nugraha believed that Jejak can be a solution to help Jakarta Government in preventing new cluster as happened some time ago in number of office buildings.

"Jejak has been tested in several locations in Jakarta, first is to assist Jakarta Government in regulating and controlling building and room's capacity in government environment or other public places. Then, Jejak is also helped Jakarta Government in utilizing information technology to carry out epidemiological surveillance thus we can find out the clusters affected by Covid-19 more precisely and quickly," he explained as quoted from Jakarta PPID Press Release, Tuesday (12/15).

Easy and Simple to Use

Jejak is developed to be focused on user convenience and only require access to smartphone camera for use. It makes Jejak works much simpler and faster without compromising the effectiveness or data accuracy.

Every guest who wants to enter building area should scan the QR code printed at the entrance. When guests have finished their activities and want to leave the building, they must also can the QR code at the exit.

"Jejak really facilitates guests since it can be monitored with scan without direct physical contact, different from using pens and fill manually at regular guest book. So it is very convenient and in my opinion, it is effective in preventing Covid-19 spread," said Rika, an officer who are on duty at Central Jakarta Mayor Office after witnessing socialization and testing about Jejak feature at JAKI application.

Features available at Jejak allow building managers to ensure the building capacity under control as well as health protocols implementation, but also expected to assist in tracing process if the officer finds new cases that should be investigated thus health surveillance can run well as stated by Yudhistira Nugraha.
